Kathrin Romany Beckinsale (born 26 July 1973)[1][2][3] is an English actress and model. After appearing in a few minor TV parts, her film debut was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) while she was a student at the University of Oxford. She has appeared in British dramas such as Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997), and The Golden Bowl ((2000). In the late 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in the United States. After appearing in smaller-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (99), Beckinsale appeared in Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2002) and Tiptoes (2004). Following her starring roles in The Aviator (2004), Click (2006) as well as Click (2006), she was also a prominent actor. All these films made her a main character in Hollywood.Since her role as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has gained a reputation for her work in action films, such as Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012) as well as Total Recall (2012).
